Cameron Tyler || Drummer

Bio

      From his funky, tasty, in-the-pocket drumming to his professional business sense, 20 year-old Cameron Tyler is an up-and-comer who has a driving passion for success as a drummer and entrepreneur.  Cam's past band, Johnny Duke and the Aces, opened for B.B. King on three tour dates (February '07). He is proud to be endorsing some of the best drum companies on the market today, including DW Drums, Sabian Cymbals, 3 Drumsticks, and Cympad.

      In 2007, Cam completed the two-semester Certificate Program at Drummers Collective in New York City.  While attending “the world’s premier rhythm section school”, he studied with greats such as Liberty DeVitto (Billy Joel), Peter Retzlaff, Pat Petrillo (Gloria Gainer, Patti Labelle), Leroy Clouden (Steely Dan, the B-52’s), and many others.  Cam has also studied privately with some of the most influential drummers on the scene, including Dave Weckl, Peter Erskine, Adam Deitch and Gregg Bissonette.

      Today, Cam is pursuing a professional career in both music and business.  He is currently working as a marketing/shop intern at SJC Custom Drums out of Dudley, Massachusetts.  They make some of the best and most unique custom drums on the market today, and endorse drummers for Lady Gaga, The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, All Time Low, Boys Like Girls, and many more.   He is also attending Emerson College in Boston, majoring in Marketing Communication with a minor in Business.  Cam also continues to gig and record frequently with pop artist Ian Walsh, funk band FRIT, R&B group Fazes Band, and other various projects.
